Create and print Wi‑Fi vouchers
Updated
On this page
With vouchers, guests connect with a printed code, without an e-mail. Each voucher works on one or more devices, and the duration starts at first use.
1. Turn on vouchers
In Portal settings → Look and access → How guests connect, choose Voucher (or only for one site, in the site customization). A site uses either e-mail or vouchers, not both.
2. Create a plan
In Guest → Vouchers → Plans, create a plan:
Field | Notes |
|---|---|
Plan name | For example “7-day stay”. |
Site | One site, or all sites of the portal. |
Duration | In minutes, hours or days; it starts at the voucher’s first use, not at printing. |
Devices per voucher | From 1 to 50. |
Download, upload, data | Speed in Mbit/s (maximum 100) and data in MB. Empty = the site’s per-device limits; 0 = no limit. |
Changes to a plan apply to new batches: existing batches keep the values they were created with.
3. Generate a batch
Under Batches, pick the plan, the Quantity (up to 1,000 per batch) and, if you like, Batch name, Usable until and the Wi-Fi network (SSID) to print. After the “usable until” date, vouchers never used stop working; those already in use keep their duration.
Codes have 10 characters, for example K7QM2-XR9TD, and are valid only at the batch’s site.
4. Print the cards
Print the cards produces A4 sheets with 10 cards per page: the site’s logo or name, code, plan, duration, devices, speed, Wi‑Fi network and instructions for the guest. Only unused vouchers are printed. Export CSV downloads the list of unused vouchers.
How guests use them
They join the Wi‑Fi, open the browser, choose I have a voucher, enter the code and accept the privacy policy.
Managing vouchers
Search a voucher by code and see its devices, with first and last access.
Revoke voucher: its devices leave the Wi‑Fi immediately. Revoke the whole batch does the same for the whole batch.
You can remove a device from a voucher to free a slot (at most 3 times per voucher); the voucher’s time is not given back.
Frequently asked questions
When does a voucher’s duration start?
At first use, not when it is printed or when the batch is created.
Can I delete a batch?
Yes, if no voucher in the batch has been used. Otherwise you can revoke the vouchers.
